Experts in differential pressure and flow monitoring, Orange Research offers an extensive product line of gauges, switches, and transmitters used in diverse applications. From water monitoring to hydraulics to cryogenics, the company’s products provide a variety of mission critical functions. Due to wide range of industries served, sometimes bringing customers into the plant proved challenging.

As part of our integrated marketing efforts for Orange Research, Stifel Marcin developed a company video tour and B2B video marketing plan. To serve those who were unable to visit the manufacturing plant in person, the video provided an overview of the company’s capabilities, processes, and products.

With text-on-screen, a benefit-focused voice-over script, a high-tech audio track, and footage that followed the production process from start-to-finish, the video highlighted Orange Research’s quality-focused production and reliable processes.

Working with the client, we identify opportunities to use the video in different applications, including social media, trade shows, the company website, and in virtual presentations, providing a strategic B2B video marketing plan that maximized budgets and results.

B2B Video Marketing Strategy, Planning & Production

The Stifel Marcin team storyboarded and planned the video, creating sequences that promoted core brand themes of “durability, accuracy, and dependability.” A custom VO script guided viewers, with on-screen text that provided understanding and highlighted key marketing positions for those watching without sound.

While only a few minutes long in its finished state, hours were spent strategically planning the filming process. Due to a busy manufacturing schedule, Orange Research needed to keep production lines running while film crews worked. Through smart scheduling, flexibility, and the positive approach of everyone involved, filming was complete in one day and successfully captured each key area of the manufacturing plant.

While the video was created years prior to COVID, the piece became an even more important part of the company’s marketing suite, and allows for a guided tour no matter the customer location. It also continues to be relied on for digital B2B video marketing applications.
